New office for Resolis in Edinburgh

Resolis, an Edinburgh based Asset Management company were moving out of serviced office space to their own office in Exchange Tower Edinburgh, for the first time and contacted Amos Beech to assist them with delivering an environment that reflected their brand and ethos.

From a serviced office to a dedicated space

Resolis focus, is on infrastructure assets connected to the provision of essential public services. In addition to their new office in the Exchange Tower in Edinburgh, many of their team members work location-independent across the United Kingdom in a true hybrid fashion.

Working with their Architect who led the design element, Amos Beech completed a drawings package and building warrant submission. We also helped them to gain Landlord Approval for the works and then, over a 4 week contract completed the fit-out and installed all the furniture.

Working in a multi-tenanted building meant that we had to be considerate contractors and ensured that our works were not detrimental to the other businesses in the building. Sound testament to this is the additional projects we have secured following completion of this contract.

Office space planning for Red Rock Power in Edinburgh

Red Rock Power, the renewable and sustainable energy company based on Princes Street in Edinburgh, was spread over two wings on separate floors in the same office building. When additional office space became available on the fifth floor, Red Rock Power asked Amos Beech to plan the space in such a way that the whole company could be located on one level and facilitate greater collaboration.

Our fit out team knocked through the wall to connect the west wing to the east wing and created a central ‘heart’ with a collaboration space, complete with a storage wall of lockers by Spacestor and a biophilia moss wall by Benholm.

The Red Rock Power office is a busy and often noise environment and some acoustic treatments were needed so we fitted acoustic hanging screens made by Friends of Wilson from Glasgow. Meeting space was also limited so we added ‘pods’ to create informal collaboration areas at the ‘heart’ of the office that offer an excellent alternative to booking a meeting room and provide both quiet work space and dining too.

Whilst the pods are perfect for personal phone calls we also supplied phone booths for privacy and quiet away from the noisy office (both booths designed and manufactured by Joint Design Direction, from Birmingham) . Further soft seating and meeting room furniture was supplied to complement the existing office furniture.

In an area that both separates and unites the two office wings, sits the newly fitted tea prep area and a meeting/dining table providing a great space for team breakfasts and lunches. Unfortunately our photographer planned his shoot on the wrong day…

Showroom office space for Envipco in Newbridge

Ahead of the launch of the Scottish Government’s new deposit return scheme, Envipco needed an office from which they could showcase their products to retailers in Scotland. Conveniently located close to Edinburgh airport and Scotland Food & Drink offices in Newbridge, they secured a bright and airy space that required a complete office refurbishment with an Interior Design scheme that reflected their environmentally friendly business model.

Showroom office space for Envipco in Newbridge

Working with the Amos Beech Interior Designers over video calls (the Envipco head office is in America) they were able to share their vision for the space and we were able to interpret it in the built environment.

Flexibility was key in getting the design right given that this is their first UK office and they were keen to ensure that all of the potential use case scenarios could be accommodated.

Using finishes and surface textures along with graphics to tell the Envipco story the finished interior is an inspirational space for colleagues and customers alike. Careful selection of furniture items that are either 100% recyclable or already made from recycled plastic materials adds to the design ethos for a sustainable and futureproof space.

As is usually the case, deadlines were tight and a co-ordinated effort was required to ensure the opening date was met. This only highlights the benefits of the Amos Beech approach to office design & build. By bringing the full service under one roof and having all trades co-ordinated and answerable to our Project Manager, we are able to deliver on-time, on-budget projects. Our clients have the peace of mind that their work is being completed to the correct standards and they are able to continue their day-to-day business without having to spend time chasing trades and worrying that deadlines will be missed.
